Chargers vs. Falcons Being Streamed Live on Web via Pirate Sites

Local TV has blacked out the Chargers-Falcons game Sunday afternoon, but resourceful fans with a Web-enabled TV can watch the game for free on their big-screen sets.

According to U-T San Diego, sites based overseas—including the Polynesian island of Tuvalu and in the Central American nation of Belize—are streaming the game live.

U-T San Diego listed these sites as having the game:

• rojadirecta.me 

The newspaper also said:

Policing thousands—maybe tens of thousands—of fans watching a pirated feed in the privacy of their own home, of course, is an entirely different animal (and you'll get a spirited debate from lawyers whether it's even illegal). Many laptops now have HDMI ports, making it easy to run a single cable from their computer to their 55-inch flat screen. The reliability and resolution has improved over the years, too; it’s generally not high-definition, but it’s not the freezing, grainy images of the past.

One comment posted on the U-T story said: “Firstrow is a good 1 online & go to channel 10 they got a link to a few good one to see the game sunday.” A link on that site is airing the game but may required a plug-in.

The Chargers website, meanwhile, offers live updates in blog form.

Otherwise, the game can be heard on radio, with the team listing 18 stations carrying the broadcast.
