Helix Water District: Quick! Get A Rain Barrel
"It's raining and you need a rain barrel to collect water from your roof."

Jan 18, 2022
Itβs raining and you need a rain barrel to collect water from your roof. Why? Because itβs free water that would otherwise leave your property. By using a rain barrel, residents can collect water for later use, reduce runoff to the ocean and save money on their water bills. The programβs rain barrels can capture and store 50 gallons of water and can fill up quickly, even in small storms. On 1,000 square feet of roof, an inch of rain yields over 600 gallons of rainwater.
