It's Fall Festival Weekend at St. John of the Cross Church

The celebration has been a tradition in Lemon Grove for 73 years.

Each new season has its own beloved Lemon Grove tradition, and at the start of each autumn it's the annual fall festival at St. John of the Cross Church that brings the city together in droves.

Who can resist the aroma of meats being grilled for tacos wafting through the air on Broadway, or the taste of crispy lumpia rolled by parish ladies? With hours of free entertainment, a beer garden, carnival rides and games for the kids, this celebration is hard to beat.

Festivities include raffles and auctions, and vendors with a variety of merchandise. Money raised will help fund the parish building projects.

Admission, including live entertainment, is free. Food, drinks, raffle tickets, and  merchandise is available for purchase.

The 73rd Annual St. John of the Cross Fall Festival takes place from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27; noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28; and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28. The church is located at 8086 Broadway.
