SEAL BEACH, CA — Gum Grove Park has reopened to the public after officials preemptively closed it Wednesday to help mitigate any fire danger.

The closure was done out of an abundance of caution after the National Weather Service issued a heat and wind advisory for all of Orange County this week.

The combination of high winds and warm temperatures in the Southland could have resulted in a fire at the park, the Seal Beach Police Department said.
