SEAL BEACH, CA — The historic and unorthodox water tower home in Seal Beach has been listed for sale, according to the real estate site Redfin.
The home was bought in 2022 for $4.5 million, according to real estate records. That owner is now trying to sell the home for $5.5 million, Redfin shows.
Located at 1 Anderson St. in Seal Beach, the tower was originally constructed in the late 1800s to hold water for passing steam engines. It was then transformed into a fully functional home in the 1980s by Long Beach City College math professor George Armstrong.

At 2,828 square feet, the home has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. It was listed for sale in late June.
The listing agent described the home as stepping into "yesteryear," with its foyer featuring a cascading water feature and a wall of vintage tools.
