Los Alamitos Council Wants Public's Feedback On Redistricting

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — The Los Alamitos City Council is seeking the public's input as it works to redraw its district boundaries using data from the 2020 federal census.

The council will hold a special meeting Monday where residents can provide feedback on what considerations should be made in drawing up the new boundaries. Considerations include major streets, neighborhood landmarks or school attendance areas, according to a city report.

The special meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be in person at City Hall and streamed through the city's website.

Los Alamitos officials have until April 17 to complete the redistricting process, the report said.
