LOS ALAMITOS, CA — A group is launching a second attempt to recall a Los Alamitos Unified School District Board of Education trustee citing parents' rights as the driving force, the Seal Beach Sun reported.

Scott Fayette received notice on March 17 of the group's intention to circulate a recall petition, the Sun reported. Fayette represents Area Four, which covers a portion of Seal Beach.

Hope Horning, a spokesperson for the group, told the Sun they were moving to recall Fayette because "he does not agree in the fundamental right of parents to direct the care, upbringing and education of their children as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution."
