Orange Coast College Takes 3rd Place At CCCFA State Championship

Orange Coast College won the perpetual sweepstakes award, and tied for 3rd place in large entry sweepstakes at the California Community College Forensics Association (CCCFA) state championship tournament on March 13.

The CCCFA tournament took place virtually, and OCC’s team tied for third place with Moorpark College. Diablo Valley College received second place and Mt. San Antonio College took the top award.

“This was the first high stakes tournament for the students and they did what they needed to do, “ says Director of Debate Hannah Haghighat. “We had a few historical moments mixed with many great learning experiences and we are proud of what the students were able to do.”
