Smash-And-Grab Robbers Stole $200K In Jewelry From Mall: Police

Two men entered a Kay Jewelers and began using a sledgehammer to break into the display cases, Westminster police said.

WESTMINSTER, CA — Police are asking the public's help to find two men who stole more than $200,000 worth of jewelry Monday from a store at the Westminster Mall.

The first suspect was seen in security camera videos wearing a green puffy jacket, black pants, gloves and a face mask. The man also had an orange backpack, the Westminster Police Department said.

The second suspect had a black hoodie with a Puma logo on the front, black track pants, black gloves and a face mask.

The two men entered the Kay Jewelers at the mall around 2:49 p.m. on Monday and immediately used a sledgehammer to break into the display cases, Westminster police said.

The two left the mall with the jewelry in a gray-colored four-door rental car, possibly a 2020 Toyota Corolla with Texas license plate number MXR5851, police said.
