Suspect Arrested In Shooting Near Seal Beach Park: Police

SEAL BEACH, CA — A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting near a Seal Beach park earlier this month, according to police.
Oxnard resident Angel Alcozar is accused of shooting at someone near Marina Park in Seal Beach on Aug. 21. Nobody was injured or struck by gunfire, according to the Seal Beach Police Department.
Through an investigation, which included witness statements and surveillance footage, Alcozar was identified as a suspect in the shooting, according to police.

The Seal Beach Police Department announced Thursday that detectives had arrested the 23-year-old on suspicion of assault with a firearm and shooting at an occupied vehicle or dwelling.
"Thanks to the hard work of our officers, detectives, and law enforcement partners, a dangerous individual has been taken off the streets," Seal Beach Police Chief Michael Henderson said in a statement Thursday. "While no one was physically injured, gun violence impacts our entire community."
