Coast Guard Rescues Man From Channel Islands

The man was onboard a passenger vessel, the Truth, when he started feeling ill, and he was brought to Santa Rosa Island, west of Malibu.

The Coast Guard rescued a 67-year-old man who was suffering from severe dehydration from Santa Rosa Island Thursday morning.

The man was onboard a passenger vessel, the Truth, when he started feeling ill, according to the Coast Guard. 

The master of the passenger vessel took the man to Santa Rosa Island where they were met by National Park Service staff, and a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter brought him to safety.

The man was transported to a Santa Barbara hospital for treatment.
