Deputies Use Drone To Search For Missing Glendale Woman In Malibu
Deputies at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station coordinated with the Special Enforcement Bureau using the drone to search for clues.
MALIBU, CA -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department used a new tool in their arsenal, a drone, on Sunday to help search for a Glendale woman who's been missing for more than a month.
Elaine Park, 20, was reported missing on Jan. 30 and her car was found near Pacific Coast Highway and Corral Canyon Road in Malibu a few days later. The car still has her her keys, cellphone and other personal belongings inside, police said.
Park was last seen at her boyfriend's home in Calabasas on Jan. 28, police said. Her boyfriend has been questioned by investigators and has been "completely cooperative," authorities said.

Deputies at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station coordinated a large-scale search with the Special Enforcement Bureau for clues and any signs of Park, including the use the unmanned aircraft, but were not able to find anything, authorities said.
“Although the area has been searched numerous times, there are some very rugged areas we wanted to pay attention to,” said Capt. Jack Ewell of the Sheriff Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. “We were able to use it to look into some of those very dangerous places we couldn’t get to in the past. Unfortunately, we did not locate the missing person or any kind of investigative clues.”
