Malibu Adoptions Can Save These Lives

By Andrea Braver & J. Flora-Katz

Mango
No need to go all the way to the tropics to get Mango.  She's waiting for you at the South L.A. shelter.  This captivating, yummy, sweet girl is as precious as they come.  Not only is she lovely from every angle, she's genteel and the perfect lady.  A happy soul who needs someone to save her life today!  Sadly, Mango has been kept in our ISO section  --  but that is merely temporary.  She came in to the shelter with some discharge from her eyes and some itchy, flaky skin, possibly caused by fleas or a non-contagious mange.  Our medical staff adore her and have been treating her for her woes with the result that her condition has improved greatly by now.

Here are a few brief video clips as proof that she's delicious through and through.  Please watch them and consider coming to meet 5-year old, 21-pound Mango  --  she's irresistible. Mango's ID # is A1418203.

Whitey
So shy, so silly, so adorable and in such trouble - his time is up.  Whitey must be rescued immediately!  Please save his life!  Not one who runs up to the front of the cage when you pass.  But, a dog who draws you to him, nonetheless.  Whitey came in to the shelter nearly two months ago along with two others, quite possibly his mother and father.  Neither of them made it out alive.  Whitey is still awaiting his fate.  A gentle soul, a lumbering husky boy at 88 pounds, Whitey is a big baby.  He takes treats so gently, is always so polite.  Very handsome, quiet, reserved.  And, sadly, very depressed by now.  He's 5 years old, removed from his home, separated from the dogs he grew up with, and put into a shelter with clanging and barking and commotion.  We all wonder about Whitey and wish he would open up to us.  There is something soulful and wonderful in this dog.  He's just waiting to get out of the shelter to reveal his true self to you.  Please consider saving his life.  Whitey's ID # is A1068058.

Donations accepting to save his life - come on Malibu, let's do it!!
