Malibu Bank of America Robbery Suspect Arrested
Man leads Sheriff's deputies on a chase on westbound PCH.

A man who allegedly robbed a Bank of America branch in Malibu Tuesday was taken into custody following a brief pursuit that ended in a crash, a sheriff's official said.
The heist occurred about 9:10 a.m. in the 29100 block of Heathercliff Road, said sheriff's Lt. James Royal of the Malibu/Lost Hills Station.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested a short time later when he crashed a vehicle while being pursued by deputies on westbound Pacific Coast Highway near Bonsall Drive, Royal said. No injuries were reported.
A demand note was used to rob the bank, Royal, said, noting that no other suspects were being sought.
