Malibu's Jordan Wilimovsky Just Misses U.S. Olympic Swim Finals
The Malibu High School graduate finished in the top 20 at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials.
Jordan Wilimovsky missed out on a chance to swim in the 1,500-meter freestyle finals and a spot on the U.S. Olympic Swim team Sunday.
The recent Malibu High School graduate finished in 17th place overall with a time of 15:33.29. Wilimovsky was 36 seconds behind the top time in the preliminary heats, but missed out on qualifying for the finals by 23 seconds.
The top two finishers in the finals of each event are guaranteed to compete in the race at the Olympics in London. The men's 1,500-meter freestyle finals will be the last event at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials Monday night.
