Malibu Teen Music and Art Festival Submission Opens Jan. 3
Musicians and visual artists are encouraged to enter the festival sponsored by the city's Harry Barovsky Memorial Youth Commission.

MALIBU, CA – The submission period for the annual Malibu Teen Music and Art Festival will open starting Jan. 3, 2017, the city announced Wednesday.
Musicians and visual artists are encouraged to enter the festival sponsored by the city's Harry Barovsky Memorial Youth Commission. To qualify for the festival, which takes place March 24, 2017 at City Hall, all musicians and artists must be in middle school or high school.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. The deadline to submit an application for musicians, both solo artists or bands is Feb. 24, 2017. The deadline to submit visual artwork is March 10, 2017. The theme for visual art is “music.”

The Teen Music and Art Festival will take place 6 p.m. on March 24, 2017 at the Civic Theater. Tickets are $5 at the door, and include a free raffle ticket.
Guests who bring two boxes of crayons to donate to Crayon Collection to benefit inner-city art programs will receive free admission.
