Malibu's BurgerFi Joins With St. Jude In Fight Against Childhood Cancer

MALIBU, CA -- Malibu residents, here's a way you can help end childhood cancer and get a sweet treat at the same time. Beginning Wednesday, BurgerFi, a national gourmet burger chain, will be donating $1 from every featured shake purchased to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The year-long campaign kicks off with BurgerFi's signature Oreo Chocolate Mint Cookie Shake. A new fundraising flavor will be featured every six weeks, the company said.

“BurgerFi is proud to partner with St. Jude, and we invite our guests to enjoy our shakes in order to help give St. Jude the freedom to focus on what matters most -– saving children regardless of their financial situation,” BurgerFi's CEO Corey Winograd said. “Our hope is that with our support and with the help of the communities in which we reside, BurgerFi will make a difference in hundreds of families’ lives, one shake at a time.”

St. Jude is the leading research institution for childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Treatments discovered at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago.

BurgerFi's partnership with St. Jude help to support the hospital’s mission to ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, the company said.

BurgerFi's lone location in Malibu is located at 3939 Cross Creek Road.
