Water Unsafe To Drink In Parts Of Malibu: Officials
A boil water notice has been issued for parts of Malibu.

MALIBU, CA — Residents in parts of Malibu were advised Wednesday to avoid using tap water for drinking or cooking — unless they boil it first — due to a recent pressure dip caused by a construction project.
Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 29 issued a boil-water notice for customers west of Corral Canyon and Solstice Canyon roads, with the exception of those at Trancas Canyon and Latigo Canyon.
The issue stemmed from a recent low-pressure event in the water system caused by a bridge-replacement project at Solstice Canyon Creek, according to the city of Malibu.

Customers are advised to boil tap water or use bottled water "to avoid stomach or intestinal illness."
"Please do not ingest the tap water or provide it to your pets/livestock until it is safe to do so," city officials said.

Residents will be notified when the notice is lifted.
Bottled water is being distributed to affected customers at the Waterworks District headquarters, 23533 Civic Center Way until 8 p.m. Wednesday. It will continue from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
