Lifeguards Save Sailboat Aground At Dockweiler Beach
The sailboat began taking on water late Sunday night.

PLAYA DEL REY, CA — Los Angeles County lifeguards saved a sailboat that began taking on water off Dockweiler Beach late Sunday night, authorities said. Crews on land and rescue boat crews in the water saved the boat, authorities said.
The incident was reported just before 10 p.m. when the Los Angeles County Fire Department lifeguards tweeted that the vessel was taking on water off Dockweiler Beach "but is now aground." No injuries were reported to the people on board.
Lifeguards on the ground and rescue boat crews pulled the vessel back out to sea where it was towed to safety, the lifeguards tweeted.
