Partly Sunny, Flamenco Secret and Budget Challenge
Trilogy Guitars in Playa del Rey is a little hidden flamenco gem of a store and a cool, cozy concert venue, too.

Today is March 2. It is the 61st day of the year. We are under a waning crescent moon. Sunset will occur about 5:52 p.m. Here are five things to know:
1. The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies with a 20 percent chance of showers and a high near 59 degrees. There's a 40 percent chance of showers tonight with an overnight low around 48 degrees.
2. Playa del Rey resident Phil Jackson and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers won their fifth game in a row since the All-Star break by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 90-79 last night in Minneapolis. Former UCLA star Kevin Love had 11 rebounds and 13 points for the Timberwolves, extending his consecutive double-double streak to 47 games.
3. Did you know that Playa del Rey has a hidden gem in the form of a high-end flamenco guitar store? Patch contributor Nikki Lackowski has a feature story on Trilogy Guitars, whose clients fly in from all over the planet to buy instruments. It's also a cozy little concert venue.
4. The deadline to take the Los Angeles Budget Challenge has been extended to Friday to give residents more time to help the city set its spending priorities. More details on that are right here.
5. Did you know you can follow Marina del Rey Patch, which also covers Del Rey and Playa del Rey, on Facebook and Twitter?
