Woman Victim of Identity Theft

A suspect steals over $5,000 from woman's bank account.

A Marina del Rey woman’s bank account last week was nearly emptied by a suspect with fake identification.

The suspected female, who police have not yet identified, withdrew over $5,000 in four different transactions on April 17 and 18 at a Panorama City Chase Bank. She had obtained a fake driver’s license to pose as the victim while withdrawing the funds, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim received several cell phone alerts informing her of the withdrawals, and contacted the bank and police. No arrests have been made.
