Arrest Made In String Of Bike Thefts In Menlo Park Area

A man was arrested this week in connection with a slew of bicycle thefts reported in the area in December.

MENLO PARK, CA — Nearly a month after a string of bicycle thefts were reported in the Menlo Park area, police announced on Wednesday that a suspect had been arrested.

Brenden Orallo, a 20-year-old San Jose resident, was arrested following an investigation and a warrant issued by Menlo Park Police.

After locating Orallo, police said they were able to recover stolen property. Orallo remained in custody this week at the San Mateo County Jail, police said.

Police said Orallo has admitted to burglarizing at least three homes for the sole purpose of stealing bikes.
