Police in Menlo Park are searching for a masked gunman who robbed a Mexican grocery store over the weekend.
At about 5:45 p.m. Saturday, the suspect, armed with a black handgun, entered La Michoacana Market on Willow Road and demanded money from the cashier, police said.
When the clerk opened the register drawer, the suspect grabbed cash and fled, according to police. He was last seen running north on Ivy Drive. Officers responded to a hold-up alarm at the market, but were unable to locate the suspect.
He was described as wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, a white T-shirt, black shoes and a mask over his face. Anyone with more information about the crime is asked to contact Menlo Park police at (650) 330-6300.
