Oak Knoll Elementary School Administrators announced Wednesday that the school will be holding elections for Site Council on paper this year.
“Technical difficulties have forced us to cancel the electronic voting process we were hoping to use,” said David Ackerman, principal of
The school received five applications for the four open Site Council positions, inspiring school administrators to let parents decide who will be on the Council. The people who are elected to the Council will be working with the principal to review, evaluate, and develop the school’s site plan, as well as monitor expenditures.
Each of the applicants has provided position statements, which will be send home with students on Friday.
Ackerman said the oldest child in the family will be bringing them home. Voting is limited to one ballot per family. Ballots can be returned to the box that will be placed in the office. Teachers will also be accepting them.
