Traffic Advisory: Dangling Big Rig in SF Shuts Down Hwy. 101

The incident occurred on the Hwy. 280 freeway overpass near Alemany Blvd. CHP says oil may be leaking onto Hwy. 101.

A big-rig is dangling off of a southbound Interstate Highway 280 over-crossing in San Francisco this afternoon, and the incident has shutdown traffic on U.S. Highway 101 below, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
           
The incident was reported on southbound I-280 near Alemany Boulevard at 5:13 p.m., according to the CHP.
           
The truck is hanging over the edge and debris and possibly oil from the big-rig has fallen onto south and northbound lanes on Highway 101 below, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
           
Both directions of traffic on Highway 101 have been shut down, Eckhardt said.
           
The cab of the truck is reportedly hanging about 40 feet over the roadway, according to the CHP. No injuries were reported.
