Signals On At Willow Rd., But Other Commute Problems Exist

The Peninsula morning commute has had its problems: signals out, flooding, an obstacle, and two crashes between San Carlos and Sunnyvale.

MENLO PARK, CA -- A little victory in a troublesome morning on the Peninsula, Menlo Park police report the traffic signal near the intersection of Willow Road and U.S. Highway 101 are now working following one hiccup for the commute.

Also in Menlo Park, the California Highway Patrol has reported an obstruction on the northbound side of the highway at the Marsh Road exit, with the right lane and shoulder blocking traffic as of 7:22 a.m. More delays are prompted by flooding in the city on Interstate 280 on the southbound side, north of Alpine Road. The right lane is affected.

The CHP is also reporting a crash on Highway 101 in San Carlos on the southbound side, blocking the Brittan Avenue exit.
