Victim Stabbed Several Times On SamTrans Bus

Deputies found a person with multiple stab wounds after an altercation Tuesday evening on a SamTrans bus in North Fair Oaks.

NORTH FAIR OAKS, CA — A person was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries Tuesday after suffering multiple stab wounds aboard a SamTrans bus, according to the sheriff's office.

Investigators said deputies arrived on the scene at 7 p.m., within three minutes of reports an altercation on the bus near Middlefield Road and 5th Avenue in North Fair Oaks. According to the sheriff's office, the victim was stabbed several times and rushed to a nearby hospital for care.

Deputies soon located a suspect in the stabbing and arrested them, and officials said they did not believe anyone else was involved.

"The suspect is now in custody and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation is underway," officials wrote Tuesday evening. "The Sheriff's Office is working diligently to gather all relevant information and will provide an update on the suspect's identity and specific booking charges tomorrow."
