City Of Millbrae Schedules Neighborhood Watch Community Meeting

The City of Millbrae and Millbrae Police Bureau will host a special community meeting re: the benefits of forming neighborhood watch groups.

MILLBRAE, CA -- The City of Millbrae and Millbrae Police Bureau plan to host a special community meeting later this month regarding Neighborhood Watch groups in the city.

The meeting is meant to teach local residents about the benefits of forming or joining a Neighborhood Watch to keep their communities safe, according to city officials.

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with local police to prevent and reduce crime in neighborhoods.

"Neighborhood Watch is residents not only knowing each other, but taking the time to care about each other and work together in a program of mutual assistance," the City of Millbrae stated in a news release.

The community meeting will start at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at Central Park. The address is 478 Lincoln Circle, Millbrae, CA 94030.
