Earthquake Rattles Bay Area Friday Evening: Did You Feel It?
Here's what the U.S. Geological Survey has to say about the earthquake.
MILLBRAE, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude reading of 4.0 was felt widely in the Bay Area Friday evening at 6:38 p.m. It has since been downgraded to 3.9, and finally 3.7.
The epicenter was Millbrae, in San Mateo County, according to the United States Geological Survey Shake Map. The San Andreas Fault runs through there.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage.
