First Presbyterian Church Preschool is now open for Summer and Fall enrollment for children ages 2-5 years old. - Christian play-based developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum. Summer Camp with Vacation Bible School sessions (June 12-August 18) in 5 flexible sessions from ages 2-5 years old. New School year 2023-24 beginning in Fall (starting September 5). We accept 2-year old non-potty trained children (1:5 ratio), and a 1:7 ratio for our 3 and 4 year old children. We have a very spacious, safe and well-kept facility where kids have fun learning. Former BART police Officer Johannes Mehserle was released from the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail about 12:30 a.m. today, according to Victim Information and Notification Everyday, the national victim notification network. Mehserle was convicted of killing 22-year-old Oscar Grant on New Year's Day 2009 on the Fruitvale BART station platform. 	 On Nov. 5, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Robert Perry sentenced Mehserle to two years for involuntary manslaughter, but his prison term was shortened. -Bay City News
