Felon Arrested On Weapon Charges After Grilling In Street: Police
Deputies said a man on probation was arrested in Milpitas after someone called to report a man barbecuing in high winds.

MILLBRAE, CA — A man on probation was arrested Wednesday after a neighbor called to report him grilling in the street amid high winds and deputies discovered he was carrying a gun, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies arrived on the 400 block of Lincoln Circle shortly before 6 p.m. and called the fire department to extinguish the barbecue, citing the risk of flying embers, officials said.
Investigators learned the man was on probation for a prior drug conviction, and deputies said they seized a gun, ammunition and drug paraphernalia during a search. The man was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility where he was being held on $50,000 bail.
