Millbrae Man Shoots Gun In His Home, Fentanyl Pills, Illegal Assault Rifle Seized: Police

Officers investigated a man making violent threats online to others and himself, police said.

MILLBRAE, CA — Officers arrested a 27-year-old man Thursday in Millbrae after he sent messages that raised concerns about violence towards others and possible self harm, police said.

On Wednesday, San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies said they received a report about Millbrae resident, later identified at Anthony Roberts, 27, who had sent messages threatening violence and he also admitted to discharging a gun in his apartment building, including a photo of a bullet hole in an inside wall.

Roberts agreed to meet deputies outside of his apartment building, where they took him into custody.

Deputies said they found four guns and an illegal assault rifle, a large amount of ammunition, tactical gear that included a bulletproof vest and suspected fentanyl pills.

Police said they also found recently patched holes consisted with the bullet holes they had seen online.

Roberts was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for the following charges including possession of a controlled substance with a firearm and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, police said.
