Final Election Results: Lee, Colapietro and Gottschalk Win

County releases updated and final results.

After a very close race between city council candidates Anne Oliva and Robert Gottschalk, he has come out ahead with 28 votes to take third place in the election, according to numbers released by the San Mateo County Elections Office this afternoon.

When updated election records were released on Nov. 11, Oliva was trailing Gottschalk by only seven votes. Then, Gottschalk widened his lead to 32 votes on Nov. 15.

"It would have been more heartbreaking if I had lost by only seven votes," Oliva said. "I care about Millbrae, and wanted to bring fresh ideas to the city."
