Man Accused Of Robbing Millbrae Woman As She Unloaded Car
The victim called 911 to report a man stealing items out of the back of her car while she was unloading the vehicle.
MILLBRAE, CA — A San Mateo man is accused of robbing a Millbrae woman Monday as she was unloading her car, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators said the 27-year-old victim called 911 and said she saw a man drive up and begin taking things from her vehicle while she was returning to the vehicle from her house. The victim said she approached the man, and an altercation ensued before the man drove away.
Deputies utilized an automated license plate reader to identify the suspect as a San Mateo man and worked with colleagues there to visit his home. Investigators said they took the suspect into custody on Lindberg Street without incident. He was booked in the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of robbery and violating probation.
