Want To Take Part In A Peninsula Bike Rodeo?

The bike rodeo returns for the second year in a row with a chance to win free bicycles.

MILLBRAE, CA — The Millbrae bike rodeo will return again May 10 and will offer some free fun combined with bike safety at Taylor Middle School.

The bike rodeo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.

The California Highway Patrol, San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Millbrae have come together to put on the bike rodeo for the second year in a row after it returned in 2024, following a hiatus. The previous bike rodeo was in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to the bicycle fun.

"Any opportunity to invest in the safety of our youth is important, and we look forward to engaging with kids, teens, and families at the event in a few short weeks," said Sheriff Christina Corpus in 2024.

This year’s event will feature a bike safety obstacle course, free kids helmets and helmet fittings by CHP, bike safety checks, booths with emergency and disaster preparedness information, and all visitors will be entered into a raffle to win a series of kids bikes.
