Millbrae Breaks Ground On 'One Meadow Glen' Downtown Development

MILLBRAE, CA — Millbrae leaders recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a major housing development that will create more apartments, retail space and a new public plaza.

The future One Meadow Glen is now in progress at the site of the old Office Depot at 959 El Camino Real, and the 1.86-acre lot is set to be transformed into a six-story, mixed-use building.

According to the city, the design includes 278 homes, 26 of which are designated for affordable housing, and over 17,000 square feet of retail and commercial space on the ground floor.

"We are creating these homes to serve seniors, families, and all who wish to call Millbrae home," said Mayor Anders Fung. "This project reflects our unwavering commitment to expanding affordable housing options and meeting the needs of our growing community. I am thrilled to see this vision come to life and cannot wait to celebrate its completion."

A public plaza on Broadway will be home to lush landscaping, trees, a lit pathway, and a trellis with a connected seat wall, offering neighbors and visitors a new place to gather downtown.
