Millbrae Murder Suspect Will Face Jury Soon

On April 8, the court will set a date for a jury trial.

A jury trial date will be set on April 8 for Teyseer Zaid Najdawi, 27, accused of a 2008 murder in Millbrae.

Najdawi allegedly shot his friend multiple times in the head as they were driving home from a night of drinking in San Francisco, according to San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe.

He then drove the victim to Burlingame and left him in the car, fled to Northern California, and was later apprehended in a Redding motel.

Najdawi underwent psychiatric evaluation in 2009 at the Napa State Hospital and is deemed competent to stand trail. 

He remains in custody on no bail status. His motive for shooting his friend is unclear, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
