Millbrae's Unemployment Rate Second Lowest in County

State unemployment rate still in double digits.

Millbrae's unemployment rate was 3.9 percent in November, lower than any other city in San Mateo County except Hillsborough, according to data released Friday by the California Employment Development Department.

The unemployment rate in Millbrae has dropped from 4.5 percent in July 2011, and its downward trend is in line with California's overall drop.

Statewide unemployment reached a high of 12 percent in July, and now hovers at 10.9 percent.
