About 70 people gathered on Wednesday to partake in the grand opening of Sun's Market, an Asian grocery store located on the ground floor of the Belamor condominiums at 151 El Camino Real.
The owner, Vivian Li, decided to come to Millbrae because of the large Asian population, and the lack of a grocery store to supply their needs. She worked for many years at an Asian food store in Oakland that her parents own.
"We are a very welcoming city, and we hope lots of people will patronize this business," said Vice Mayor Marge Colapietro.

Drummers and dragon dancers started the festivities that led up to a ribbon cutting ceremony by Mayor Dan Quigg.
