Marin Co. Town Enacts Smoking Ban

FAIRFAX, CA — Fairfax apartment dwellers will soon be able to breathe a little easier.

The Town Council earlier this month voted to enact a smoking ban in multiunit residences.

The use of vaping products and marijuana are prohibited under the ordinance.

The unanimous vote in support of the ban at its Nov. 3 meeting was expected. The Council at its previous meeting on Oct. 20 voted unanimously in support of a resolution.

The ban of smoking in residential housing complexes goes into effect Jan. 1.
