Mill Valley Nonprofit Hits Milestone

Kiddo! funds programs that contribute to the development of the community's K-8 youth ranging from art, music and dance to robotics.

MILL VALLEY, CA — A Marin nonprofit that funds art programs in local schools has hit a milestone, and Kiddo! is still going strong in its 40th year.

The Mill Valley-based group has already raised more than $2 million for local schools from businesses and residents, and the group is asking the community to join a final fundraising push before the end of the calendar year, Enjoy Mill Valley reports.

Contributions from groups such as Kiddo! account for nearly 30 percent of the Mill Valley School District’s funding, Board President Emily Uhlhorn told Enjoy Mill Valley.

“Our community continues to step up year after year to support excellence in education in Mill Valley,” Uhlhorn said.
