Trabuco Hills High School Marching Unit Performing in the 2026 London News Years Day Parade

Ever dreamed of stepping into an art masterpiece? Now’s your chance! The world-famous Pageant of the Masters will host its annual Open Casting Call from January 9–11, 2026 on the Festival of Arts grounds in Laguna Beach. Participants can sign up for both on-stage and backstage roles for the upcoming 2026 Pageant production, "The Greatest of All Time," which will run July 9 - September 4, 2026. 
Open Casting Call will take place at 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, CA, on the following dates:


<ul><li>Friday, January 9, 7–9 pm</li><li>Saturday, January 10, 1–4 pm (Family Fun Fest)</li><li>Sunday, January 11, 1–4 pm (Family Fun Fest)</li></ul>
Volunteers of all ages are invited to join the world’s most famous presentation of tableaux vivants—either on stage or behind the scenes. On-stage roles involve posing in live re-creations of artwork, while backstage volunteers help with makeup, costumes, and headpieces. No experience is required—training will be provided. During the Casting Call, participants will have photos taken and measurements recorded, and guests can preview some of the 2026 Pageant artwork up close. No appointments are necessary. Family Fun Fest Returns—Now Bigger Than Ever
Adding to the excitement of Casting Call and back by popular demand, the Festival grounds will come alive with the return of the Family Fun Fest—now bigger than ever, with two days of activities on Saturday and Sunday, January 10 and 11, from 1 to 4 pm. Visitors can enjoy music, games, face painting, art projects, and food from local favorite food trucks like Feeding Frenzy and Los Compadres. Volunteers who sign up during the Fest will receive a voucher for one free item from a participating food truck.
Backstage guests can also get an up close look at Pageant sets and take photos, enjoy snacks, and explore the Bizarre Bazaar, which includes Pageant stage props, artwork, costumes, and other one-of-a-kind treasures for sale with proceeds supporting scholarships and arts programming at the Festival of Arts.

Pageant of the Masters Open Casting Call and Family Fun Fest

On Thursday January 15th, the Voco Hotel welcomes the very funny Ron Ruhman, and you’re not going to want to miss the fun.
Ron headlines clubs, colleges, corporate and church events, throughout the United States and Canada. He has opened for many talented performers including Leon Redbone, Judy Tenuta, Shawn Wayans, Jimmy Brogan, Don Friesen, and James P Connolly, done audience warm-up on several productions including Castle Rock Pictures “Forget Paris” starring Billy Crystal, and appeared on numerous television shows including “America’s Funniest People”, Comedytime TV, KTLA’s Find Me a Comic, and COZI TV. Ron also just finished recording his first DryBar Comedy special.
Ron has been called a “High Energy Seinfeld”. He brings a very energetic style to the stage as he shares his interesting slant on day-to-day life in an act that is clean, smart, and very entertaining.
Also gracing our Lass Your Aff Off! stage in January for the first time will be funny man Jim Barnes! Jim is a middle-aged divorced father of two young adults, born and raised in Southern California. He’s convinced that his best days are still ahead, but his family and friends aren’t so sure. Jim’s standup explores his knack for misunderstanding and misapplying the lessons he’s learning in this new stage of life as an empty nester. He has a perspective that you won’t see coming and won’t soon forget.
Rounding out the evening of laughter, and also making his first appearance at Voco, is the hilarious Geoff Grooms. Geoff is a Navy veteran often incorporates his experiences growing up as a military “brat” and his transition from the Navy to civilian life into his comedy. He is a paid regular at Mic Drop Comedy in San Diego and performs across the West Coast at venues like the Laugh Factory and at “Don’t Tell Comedy” shows.
The evening will be hosted by one of our favorites, Paula Faust. Paula has been performing standup for over 15 years and has performed at many iconic comedy clubs including The Improvs, Ventura Harbor Comedy Club, Flapper’s Comedy Club, The Ice House, and The Comedy Store. Paula has appeared with the Funniest Housewives of Orange County and California Funniest Females and has appeared on numerous radio shows and podcasts over the years.
