Celebrate New Year's Eve In Monrovia With 2 Special Events
There's a family-friendly "Noon Year's Eve" event for kids, and a New Year's Eve event with live music and countdown on Myrtle Avenue.
MONROVIA, CA — Monrovia residents and visitors are invited to ring in the new year on Myrtle Avenue with two special events, the City announced.
Noon Year’s Eve
Gather in Library Park for Noon Year’s Eve on December 31. Noon Year’s Eve was created to celebrate New Year’s Eve during the daytime for children who may not be able to stay awake until midnight. Activities include story time, live music, arts and crafts, inflatable obstacle course, games and a special countdown to Noon Year's Eve. All ages are welcomed to participate in family-friendly activities.

This event is free and will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Library Park at 321 S. Myrtle Avenue in Monrovia.

The City of Monrovia, the Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board and the Old Town Merchants will present the annual New Year's Eve on Myrtle Avenue from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on December 31.
There will be live music, a wide selection of restaurants offering an enhanced outdoor dining and drinking experience and a celebratory ball lighting at midnight.
For those who will be attending the celebration:
- Through GoMonrovia, those traveling to the event, within City boundaries, can request a Lyft ride for a $5 Classic ride or a $1 Shared ride.
- Parking in Old Town Monrovia is free, but limited due to the event's size. The City encourages carpooling and arriving early. Visit the City online to learn more about parking options.
- Childcare services will be provided at the Monrovia Community Center for $25/child for residents and $50/child for non-residents.
- Admission to the event is free to the public.
