Cheap Gas In Monrovia Scarce As Prices Rise
Gas prices are on the rise, and cheap gas is growing scarce in Los Angeles County, refinery maintenance to blame, AAA says

MONROVIA, CA — Feeling a little more pain at the pump?
The increasing prices are the result of reduced supplies caused by scheduled routine maintenance at refineries, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday to its highest amount since July 7, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $2.961.

The average price has risen for 17 consecutive days, increasing 12.2 cents, including 1.1 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 5.8 cents more than one week ago, 9 cents higher than one month ago and 41.1 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since July 3, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.965. It has risen 12 of the past 13 days, increasing 12.2 cents, including 1.1 cents on Sunday.
The Orange County average price is 5.5 cents more than one week ago, 10.4 cents higher than one month ago and 41.6 cents greater than one year ago.
