The Monrovia Public Library will hold a crafting event on Aug. 21 for the city's creative youths.

Children between the ages of six and 11 will meet at the park bing the library to craft whatever items they're able to imagine, according to Monrovia officials. Each child will be given a free DIY kit filled with crafting materials.

Advanced registration on the Monrovia Public Library's website is required to participate in the crafting event. Each child will be allowed to take home their crafting kit, library officials said.
