Teen Fell To Death In Chantry Flat Above Monrovia

MONROVIA, CA — A teenage hiker died when he fell about 100 feet over a cliff in the Chantry Flat area of the Angeles National Forest near Monrovia, authorities said Wednesday.
The teen was reported down in the canyon at 7:51 p.m. Tuesday, said a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher. Paramedics performed CPR on the man but he died at the scene.
The hiker was identified as Jeremy St. Julian, 18, of Whittier, according to coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
