MONROVIA, CA -- A Monrovia High School student was on the hot seat Monday after posting a joke on social media Friday evening threatening gun violence at the school, police said.
Monrovia police were notified of the post around 5 p.m. Friday. The post displayed handguns and a caption that read, "I've had enough, getting ready for Monday MHS," police said.
Police alerted the school and officers interviewed students who had received the post. Several students replied to the original poster telling him the joke was not funny, police said. The student also replied to everyone on the site he was joking and was not intending on hurting everyone.
