The 'Plan Monrovia' website aims to get residents involved with the planning of the city's future.

Monrovia launched a new online town hall website this week designed to get residents to contibute to the planning of the city now and into the future.

The "Plan Monrovia" website went live Thursday and includes a number of interactive features that residents can use to contribute ideas and media.

"Propose ideas, second ideas you support and leave feedback," the site's masthead states. "We are listening."

City Manager Laurie Lile wrote in her weekly report that ideas cultivated on the website will be incorporated into the city's future budgets.

"Your ideas and the ideas of your neighbors will add to the planning process, as part of the city’s five-year plan," Lile wrote. "Once completed, Plan Monrovia will act as a guideline as city leaders prioritize projects and services to the community in our 2013-2015 budget."
