Movies In The Park Heads To The End This Saturday

Monrovians have one last chance to enjoy a movie under the stars Saturday when the city hosts the last Movies in the Park night for the summer.

The city’s Community Services Department will host a screening of Disney’s “Onward” at Recreation Park from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The screening is free to attend, and residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to sit on the park grounds, city officials said.

The event is subject to COVID-19 safety guidelines established by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, and moviegoers are recommended to maintain a physical distance from other people and to wear a face-covering if possible, according to the city’s website. The movie is also subject to additional safety restrictions and possible cancellation.

Recreation Park is located at 620 S. Shamrock Ave.
