Photo Spotlight: Bear Crawls Through Monrovia Drain Pipe
The bear had to be pepper-sprayed by Monrovia Animal Control after it tried to enter a hillside resident's yard through a drain pipe.
A bear tried to get into the yard of hillside resident and school board member Rob Hammond through a drainage pipe on Monday and he snapped this photo of the maneuver. Help from local neighbors and some pepper-spray from Monrovia Animal Control convinced the bear to go back into the forest, according to Hammond.
